COP26
The UK will host the COP26 in Glasgow from 1 to 12 November 2021.
All nations that are parties to the Convention are represented at the COP
The 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) will bring together all countries that are parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement. In addition many climate activists will be present in Glasgow.
The venue for the main conference will be Glasgow’s Scottish Events Campus. Up to 30,000 delegates are expected to attend the conference. Alok Sharma is the full-time President for COP26.
Nations will review the implementation of the Convention and any other legal instruments that the COP adopts and take decisions necessary to promote the effective implementation of the Convention, including institutional and administrative arrangements.
