Energy & Coventry Green New Deal
Energy is a common theme of the Coventry Green New Deal’s Ten Proposals for a Green Reset in Coventry.
Energy accounts for 60% of Coventry’s carbon footprint and is the most key change in meeting net zero. Whilst this may seem like something outside the control of the public we have a really key role to play in holding decision makers to account and using our own agency in enacting change, but we must be informed to do that successfully.
This interactive training delivered by an expert in communicating climate change, Tom Maidment, aims to give the basics on the existing energy system, how we can achieve a just low carbon transition and what the challenges to this are, and will be. It is open to all and you don’t need any prior knowledge to engage.
