Global Citizens’ Assembly
Wyken in Coventry has been selected as one of only 100 places in the world to nominate a participant in the forthcoming Global Citizens’ Assembly. This Assembly will address the climate and ecological emergency and influence COP26 in ways that citizens see fit. Participants do not need to have any knowledge about climate change. They will be told about it during the first phase of the Assembly.
Grapevine (based in Upper Spon Street, Coventry) has been asked to find people from Wyken who represent the diversity of the community by Monday 20 September. One of them will be randomly selected and go forward to learn more about climate change, feeding their ideas for change into the COP26 event in Glasgow in November through the Global Citizens’ Assembly.
If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please contact Jessica Pinson at jpinson@grapevinecovandwarks.org or call 02476 631040 as soon as possible.
