Large French Car Parks Require Solar Panels
In November 2022 the French Senate approved legislation introduced by President Emmanuel Macro that requires all car parks with space for 80 vehicles or more to be covered by solar panels.
The panels must be installed by 2027 at the latest, but some have already been installed such as those shown above in Clermont-Ferrand.
The French government believes the panels could generate up to 11 gigawatts of electricity.
