The article “Preparing Coventry for a changing climate” published on Coventry Council’s website says the report “Adapting to Climate Change in Coventry ” indicates the actions taking place to prepare Coventry for a changing climate (PDF). This links to a report published in 2011.

The average reader would probably conclude that Coventry has taken no new actions since then.

This is not true, and it seems a pity the city council makes so little effort to inform it’s citizens of what it is doing, especially when the report recommendations include:

• To raise awareness among the service providers, business community and residents for the need to adapt to a changing climate and prepare appropriate adaptation responses.
• Introduce ambitious and radical planning policies and guidance to make Coventry an example of best practice in adapting to climate change.
