Suggested Letter to MPs

Can I suggest that, as one of Coventry’s members of parliament, you use Coventry’s status as City of Culture as a platform to raise awareness of the dangers from climate change.
Scientists have known for decades the consequences of releasing vast amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and they also know how to stop the damage it’s causing, but how can they inform society that we must reform our economy and change the way we live?
The extreme weather patterns the planet experienced recently got massive media coverage and for the first time put climate change high on the political agenda which generated much concern, but it only lasted until a new political issue hit the headlines and was soon gone.
The Cop26 Climate conference in November will welcome some 200 representatives from around the globe and it is vital that the delegates reach meaningful agreements and it’s not just another paper exercise.
Governments action on climate change has been a total failure despite growing evidence that we are running out of time, Please support us.
