Warwick District Council’s Climate Emergency Action Programme
Warwick District Council has agreed on Climate Emergency Action Programme to reduce the council`s carbon emissions to zero in five years and lead further climate change efforts across the region. Key actions are:
- Helping to reduce household energy bills and fuel poverty by improving energy efficiency in houses
- Helping to reduce congestion and improve air quality by working with WCC to develop a Transport Strategy and
- Helping to improve the natural green environment through tree planting and creating new habitat areas.
The District Council will meet soon to debate the creation of a ring-fenced Climate Action Fund and how best to fund it.
