World Against Single Use Plastics (WASUP) is the brainchild of Professor Abdul Rasheed Gatrad, Professor in Paediatrics at the Universities of Kentucky, USA, and Wolverhampton, UK. Originally called Walsall Against Single Use Plastics at its launch last year it has grown thanks to his hard work, enthusiasm, time and energy. Below is a presentation he gave about plastics in 2019.

WASUP community hubs exist in several towns, and their activities include collecting and where possible recycling litter. Members come from many different communities including faith groups, women’s groups and schools.
