The first Youth Climate Summit to be run online by Transform Our World. Schools from around the UK will be coming together online for the Youth Climate Summit during what would have been the week of COP26 to take action to create a more just, sustainable world and make commitments and pledges for the planet. The programme is still being worked out.
The Summit will be preceded by an online Climate Festival that will run from 9 – 13 November 2020. This will culminate in the Climate Summit on 13 November.
Transform Our World invite organisations to submit ideas for activities in the Climate Festival:
We are looking to create an exciting and inspiring programme to engage school students of all ages. The programme will consist of a core and fringe programme, with all sessions highlighting the action and change that young people and schools can make. We encourage submissions from organisations, experts, students* and teachers, from all sectors and backgrounds.
If you would like to run a session, please complete the form to tell us a little more about your idea.
Submissions will be assessed by the Summit’s design committee, made up of teachers and environmental educators, with input from young people. The deadline is 22nd September 2020. We will be in touch once the design committee have assessed all submissions to let you know if we would like your session to feature as part of the programme – giving you plenty of time to plan ahead of November!
