Coventry Sustainable Society Collective consists of grassroots climate activists and organisations, as well as individuals, groups and communities with a stake in shaping the way we address climate change in Coventry,. They are sick of being excluded from decision making by Coventry City Council and have formed a working group to develop aims and objectives for a sustainable society collective, building Coventry’s first Grassroots Climate Alliance.

At a series of meetings and protests in the city, inspired and driven not only by CCC’s exclusionary policy, but also by brave actions to protect our natural environment – at Spon End, for example – there’s been a strong desire for some kind of alliance or coalition to bring all of these groups together to build grassroots power.

They have formed a Facebook page which aims to bring people together who are willing to make such a coalition a reality.
