Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.
The IPCC prepares comprehensive Assessment Reports about knowledge on climate change, its causes, potential impacts and response options. The IPCC also produces Special Reports, which are an assessment on a specific issue and Methodology Reports, which provide practical guidelines for the preparation of greenhouse gas inventories.
They are based at the World Meteorological Organisation in Geneva.
IPCC were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
Working Group III
This group focus on Mitigation of Climate Change. It is based at the Centre for Environmental Policy, Imperial College London. They have a blog and newsletter although neither are updated very often.
