After Coronavirus, Attention Needs to Return to Climate Emergency
Tony McNally [1] of Coventry & Warwickshire Climate Action Partnership (CWCAP) [2] has written an open letter [3] which begins
As attention starts to turn towards a recovery process from the coronavirus impact, attention needs to focus on addressing the 2030 climate emergency. Central to this is the imperative of the paradigm shift to the decarbonising of our society and world, not business as usual. It requires a 50% cut in greenhouse gas emission to contain average global warming with 1.5 degrees to avert irreversible climate change.
It includes a range of suggestions about what can be done, and Tony invites all readers to contribute their thoughts and ideas. Send them to tony@climate-change-solutions.co.uk
