Coventry City Council invite local community groups, businesses, schools, universities and residents to a workshop in the Council House on 4 December to discuss ideas for projects and to play a part in the development and co-ordination of a joint partnership bid to the National Lottery Community Fund £100 million Climate Action Fund.
The Fund is designed to support partnerships from the environmental sector as well as schools, statutory services and the third and private sectors. Partnerships will include smaller grass roots groups as well as larger organisations, with varying types of solutions and challenges. Your project/initiative could already be established, could have just started or could be an idea.
The Council have already begun to gather ideas from local residents on what matters to them with regards to their local environment through their Let’s Talk platform. As part of Coventry City Council’s approach to tackling climate change and developing a clear plan for our local environment, they are keen to build a network of people and communities to drive change.
If you would like to help shape this joint bid then please REGISTER AT THIS LINK to attend this workshop.
If you are not able to attend the workshop, send in your suggestions through Let’s Talk or email climatechange@coventry.gov.uk.
