Coventry City Council, Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership, and Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick, were awarded £80 million by the UK government  to establish UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC), a new national facility for battery manufacturing development.

The Centre will be located on land adjoining Rowley Road to the south of the A45.

UKBIC is part of the UK government’s faraday battery challenge.
