George Riches, Cycling UK infrastructure representative for Coventry, says:
“West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has provided £4M for the Coventry University to Binley Business Park route. Coventry Council is working on details which should be out for consultation later in the year. I think there’s a major role for community organisations along the route in getting local people involved, to ensure that the route is good enough for people to switch from car to cycle for at least some journeys.
“Money also seems to be in the pipeline for a city centre to Coundon route. Again community involvement would be important in getting a scheme which works.”
